Conference features expert speakers, a program jam-packed with
new technical sessions, and opportunities for sharing best
practices
Rye, NY, December 20, 2006 - Mobius Management Systems, Inc.
(NASDAQ: MOBI), a leading provider of integrated solutions for
enterprise archiving and records management, today announced that
noted speaker and management consultant Barry Wishner, president of
ProFormance, will present the keynote address and join a number of
other thought leaders at the 2007 Mobius Users Group (MUG)
conference, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los
Angeles, California, January 28-31.
Barry Wishner has been an advisor to some of America's most
successful business leaders. In his keynote address, he will
challenge conference delegates to question previously held
assumptions about their roles in their organizations and their
ability to affect change. Barry is a maverick and
entrepreneur who has delivered keynote presentations for Microsoft,
Berkshire Hathaway, and General Electric and has interviewed more
than 350 Fortune 500 CEO's. He will share his insights on
the behaviors that comprise successful
leadership and help MUG delegates understand how they can
put these principles into practice to further both their own
professional development and their companies'
goals.
Complementing the keynote address, MUG will feature top business
and IT leaders from a broad cross-section of industries, who will
share their experiences in deploying enterprise archiving and
records management solutions that ensure regulatory compliance and
streamline business processes while dramatically reducing
operational costs. Mobius customers, including Abbott Laboratories,
Aetna, Aviall, Deutsche Postbank, KeyBank, SEI Investments, South
Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance, Summa Health Systems,
Tarrant County, and the University of Missouri, will speak during
breakout sessions. In addition to fresh customer
presentations, the MUG program will feature many new technical
sessions that focus on practical tips and techniques, as well as on
the technologies that deliver compelling value to organizations
today, including content integration, spreadsheet compliance,
e-mail and records management, and integration with Microsoft
Office SharePoint Server 2007.
"Mobius pioneered the software market for document archiving and
retrieval and, over the past 25 years, has helped shape the
enterprise content management market," said Mauricio Barberi,
senior vice president of marketing at Mobius. "The
traditionally-defined ECM market, which has focused heavily on
document management and collaboration, is fast becoming the
province of Microsoft and other infrastructure vendors. As
these elements of ECM become commoditized, the emphasis shifts
squarely to high-volume archiving, search and retrieval, enterprise
records and e-mail management, repository integration, storage
integration, and data quality. At MUG 2007, we will work with
customers and partners to reach a common understanding of the need
for a true enterprise-wide system that can serve as the
integrated archive of record; the need to apply retention
management to all content items, not just those declared as
traditional records; and the need for fast, flexible, secure access
to records and content while ensuring their long-term integrity and
availability. Through information-packed breakout and general
sessions and numerous networking opportunities, conference
delegates will come away with new insights into the practical and
immediate applications of Mobius technology as well as a vision for
the future."
